The insight provided during an entry-level Animal & Veterinary Care volunteering program is aimed to help determine whether a career working with animals is right for you. Volunteers assist with animal care at a veterinarian clinic and, according to any level of current veterinarian training, may additionally shadow and work alongside local veterinarians.
Typical tasks may include feeding and cleaning assistance, as well as providing medication, grooming, and tasks related to customer service within the clinic, front desk - arrange appointments, sustomer service, care of stationary animals. Volunteers are very important to help with the stationary housed animals. They do need a lot of attention and personal care.

An understanding of basic Spanish is required for this Costa Rica volunteering. All volunteers who are not yet intermediate Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to take Spanish language lessons in addition to their volunteering program.
