
Veterinarian Helpers

The insight provided during an entry-level Animal & Veterinary Care volunteering program is aimed to help determine whether a career working with animals is right for you. Volunteers assist with animal care at a veterinarian clinic and, according to any level of current veterinarian training, may additionally shadow and work alongside local veterinarians.
Typical tasks may include feeding and cleaning assistance, as well as providing medication, grooming, and tasks related to customer service within the clinic, front desk - arrange appointments, sustomer service, care of stationary animals. Volunteers are very important to help with the stationary housed animals. They do need a lot of attention and personal care.
An understanding of basic Spanish is required for this Costa Rica volunteering. All volunteers who are not yet intermediate Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to take Spanish language lessons in addition to their volunteering program. Volunteers usually do help 7-8 hours a day, 5 days a week!
Usually every day is different. Working hours are usuallay from 08am - 05 pm with 1 hour break.
07.00 am - 07.45 am breakfast at your accommodation
08.00 am - 12.00 pm volunteer duties
12.00 pm - 01.00 pm lunch
01.00 pm - 05.00 pm volunteer duties
06.00 pm supper at accommodation
* working ours can be changed by needs (for example starting at 07 am and finish at 04 pm)
