Help in Day care center
This project is for children who have been orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them. The family approach in this Children's Village is based on four principles: each child needs a mother, they grow up naturally with brothers and sisters, and they live in their own house within a supportive village environment. Their are also programms who offers quality child care to parents so they can work and support their families, and ultimately leave the poverty cycle.

English Teaching Assistant in Local Schools
The program’s foundation is for the integral development of the local children through projects of education, nutrition, health and recreation. Native English speakers are desperately needed in teaching placements here to improve the children’s English skills and help them prepare for a better future.
The volunteers will be asked to help the teacher with the daily planning, help in the daily classes such as English, help the students to practice conversation. Initiative is a major part of the work. In the case that the volunteer can communicate in the Spanish language.
- Teach English in primary schools
- Help children with their homework
- Give reading and counting classes
- Organize the recreation time and snacks
Host family: Volunteers on this project are accommodated with one of our friendly local host families, where breakfast, lunch and dinner of traditional ecuadorian cuisine are provided daily. All families have experience hosting international volunteers. Living with a family is the best way to throw oneself into the local culture.
Students home: In Quito we do have the option that volunteers could life as well in a students home. The home privites a shared kitchen where you could cook. Restaurants are close to the students home.
