South Africa - Information on the Country

South Africa – by many called the “most beautiful end of the world” – is located at the southernmost region of the African continent. South Africa is divided into 9 provinces with Pretoria being the capital. Among South Africa’s biggest cities are Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. With its neighborhoods with cafes, shops and green spaces, Johannesburg has become a very attractive big city for tourists as well. Over the years, many goals have been accomplished because of many volunteers in the townships. In some big cities a middle class is emerging. Often times, tourists go on guided tours through the townships, which highlight a tour between poverty and history.
