Language school Uvita - Playa Bahia Ballena
Our partner school in Uvita is located right next to the beautiful Bahia Ballena marine national park. Around Bahia Bellena there are beautiful beaches to explore as well as a great variety of animals and nature. Sea, waterfalls, but also mountains are in direct proximity. For this reason, this place is also an insider tip among travelers.
The school
At the beginning you will take a placement test, so that you will be placed in a learning group exactly according to your level. The groups are usually between 2-4 students. The teachers on site have many years of experience and you will experience varied classes with many exercises so that you get closer to the language quickly.
Activities: Once a week, there will be a cooking course where you will be cooking local dishes. Do you already know "Gallo Pinto"? The dish is one of the most popular dishes of the Ticos.
As Uvita is a lovely city on the beach you could do activities like: Surfing, swimming, diving or swimming in a waterfall.
Accommodation
Host families:
The host family is carefully selected by the school and the cooperation has existed for years. During the morning you will be in the language school in the afternoon you will be able to put your knowledge into practice. You will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner and once a week, there is a laundry service. Here you can get to know the local cuisine and culture. Your host family is up to 15 minutes away by foot. On the first day you will be taken to school by your host parents. The people of Costa Rica are very hospitable and like to learn about other and new cultures. Therefore some pictures of your home town and your home country as well as specialties typical for your country are very suitable as presents.
